Privacy

Last updated 12 October 2026

This page explains what information YeahNah collects, why, and what you can do about it. We follow New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

  1. Who we are.

YeahNah publishes yeahnah.org.nz. You can reach us at hello@yeahnah.org.nz.

  2. When you visit.

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which is built for privacy. It uses no cookies, collects no personal information and builds no profile of you. It records the page you visited, the page you came from, your rough location and the kind of device you use, and it tells one visit from another on the same day with a code that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you. Plausible is run by Plausible Insights OÜ in Estonia, and its data is stored in the European Union.

  3. Hosting.

YeahNah is hosted on Cloudflare, so your visit passes through Cloudflare’s network. Cloudflare receives your internet address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from attack, and may log them for security. That may happen outside New Zealand. We do not receive or keep visitors’ internet addresses.

  4. What stays in your browser.

What you type into search, and the figures you put into the traffic box, stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to us. If you opt out of counting, we store one small marker in your browser to remember it, and nothing else. There are no cookies.

  5. If you email us.

We keep your email so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details. If you suggest a website, we read your email only for the website’s name.

  6. The websites we measure.

We record what each page downloads: the files, their sizes and their owners. We do not keep the content of the pages, and we do not collect personal information from the websites we measure.

  7. Who receives information.

We do not sell, rent or share personal information. The only services that handle information about your visit are Plausible and Cloudflare, as above. Both operate outside New Zealand, under privacy protections comparable to ours.

  8. Your rights.

You can ask to see any personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@yeahnah.org.nz. We reply within 20 working days, usually much sooner. If you think we hold something personal by mistake, tell us and we will remove it. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

  9. How to opt out of counting.

Counting needs JavaScript to run at all. With JavaScript turned off, nothing is counted, so there is nothing to turn off.

  10. Changes.

We may change this page. The date at the top says when it last changed.
